PrimeWine charges a fee of $9.85 for the first item of each order plus $1.99
for each additional item to be delivered. "Undelivered" orders still require this
fee even if they are canceled at a later date. If these orders require delivery
again, another $9.85 will be charged to the same credit card as the initial
order. Expedited delivery requires an additional charge but the same rules
apply. The buyer is responsible for all delivery charges on any package
returned undelivered for any reason
The buyer is solely responsible for delivery of wine. By placing an order,
you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver
your order to your selected destination.
Wine may be sold only to persons who are at least 21 years old. In placing
your order, you represent to us that you are at least 21 years old. When your
wine is delivered to you, you will be required to show identification proving
that you are at least 21 years old.
Some states do not allow consumers to purchase alcohol from outside of their
state. Prime Wine markets only in those states that allow consumers to purchase
wine for their own personal use.
It is Shermer Specialties and Prime Wines policy in conjunction with the laws
of Michigan that direct delivery of alcoholic beverages to Michigan residents is
prohibited. Shermer and Prime Wine do not deliver alcoholic beverages directly to
consumers in the state of Michigan.
If you believe that you should be able to order wine and have it delivered to
you, but your state legislators will not allow it, please click here: http://www.freethegrapes.org/ It is the
home of "Free the Grapes", a project dedicated to ensuring consumer access to
fine wines.
We strongly encourage you to write to the legislators in your state and tell
them you support direct delivery. Here is a helpful link to put you in touch
with your representatives: http://www.wineinstitute.org/shipwine/lawyers_and_legislature/legislative_links.htm
